ELMER RAHN | President - CHADWICK, IL
Elmer Rahn and wife Annette’s family has been farming in Carroll County Illinois for three generations. Rahn Farms raise 600+ beef cattle in their herd and is also a producer of corn, wheat, and soybeans. Elmer’s tenure as a director for Pearl City Elevator extends for 4 years and the Rahn Farm has been a loyal Pearl City Elevator patron for many years prior to that. Elmer’s focus has been a commitment to embrace new field technologies and analytics in his operation and he continues to challenge Pearl City Elevator staff to meet those goals for all PCE patrons. Elmer and Annette enjoy spending quality time with his five children and two grandchildren.
MATT FOLEY | Vice President - LENA, IL
Matt Foley is a third generation family farmer in Stephenson County and resides in Lena, IL. Matt and his wife Elizabeth produce corn and soybeans as well as manage a livestock herd at their facility and also participate in a farm partnership with Matt’s father, uncle, and brother. His public service includes participating as an alderman for his township and for the last 5 years as a member of the Pearl City Elevator Board of Directors. Spare time pursuits include spending quality time with his family and two children.
ERNIE STABENOW | Secretary - MCCONNELL, IL
Ernie and his wife Cathy live on the rural McConnell farm where Ernie was born. Stabenow Farms as an enterprise includes corn, soybeans, alfalfa production, and management of a beef herd. A longtime patron of Pearl City, Ernie has also been a director since 1997. He believes, as a director and member of the Pearl City Elevator Board, our goal should be to make our cooperative the first choice for producer’s inputs and services and to maintain the highest levels of customer service. Ernie has served the board as secretary since 2005 and also serves as a director for Adkins Energy, LLC. Ernie’s other community involvement has included membership in the McConnell Fire Department for 37 years. Ernie and Cathy attend and are involved in the McConnell United Methodist church. Their two sons and three grandsons live in the Lena area.
RON BREMMER - PEARL CITY, IL
Ron Bremmer and wife Karen are 4th generation Stephenson County farmers. Their family has been farming full-time for 45 years. Bremmer Farms is actively involved in raising dairy heifers and producing corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa. The Bremmer farm operation consists of Ron, Karen, and their two sons and their wives. Downtime includes spending time with their three children and seven grandchildren.
JOHN URISH - FREEPORT, IL
John Urish and wife Chris, natives of Freeport, IL and Stephenson County, farm with their son producing corn and soybeans in Carroll County. John is passionate about increasing the influence and market share of our local producers’ grain in local and export markets. Elected in 1996, John has served as a Pearl City Elevator Director for 20 years. In particular, he enjoys the involvement with Pearl City and participating in the expansion and development of our local cooperative and in our patrons’ interests. The Urishes have three grown children and six grandchildren. John and Chris enjoy traveling and vacationing with their family.
DAVE DALY - PECATONICA, IL
Dave Daly and his wife Carrie partner with their family in a successful beef & cow/calf operation in Winnebago County. A major advocate for agriculture generally, Dave particularly is involved and enjoys partnering with 4H and the Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau Association, serving on that Board of Directors as well. Dave has partnered with Pearl City Elevator for 17 years as a patron and has served as a director for the last six years. Dave enjoys watching his four children participate in their many school activities.
MARK MAU - LENA, IL
Mark Mau was first elected to the Pearl City Elevator Board of Directors in 2012 and has also served on the Adkins Energy LLC Board of Directors since 2013. Mau Farms is located outside of Lena, IL in Stephenson County and currently involves three generations of Maus with his father Tom and son Zach. The family produces predominantly corn and soybeans. Mau Farms history of partnership with Pearl City Elevator as a patron extends for over 30 years to 1986. Mark is also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the congregation. The Maus’ other son, Matt, is a pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waco, NE where he lives with his wife and their three kids. Mark's wife, Anita, works at Exchange Bank in Lanark, IL and they enjoy camping with the family, volleyball, and hunting.
DAVID SCHENK - MONROE, WI
David Schenk and his wife Deb farm east of Monroe, WI. David’s family has been involved in Wisconsin agriculture for 4 generations and have a grain operation producing mainly corn and soybeans. David is serving his second term on the Pearl City Board of Directors having been in his current position for 4 years. He strongly believes in the shared values which Pearl City Elevator brings to the local farmer generally and the economies of Northwest Illinois and Southwest Wisconsin specifically. David and family attend St. John's UCC in Monroe, WI and he is currently serving his second term as council member for the church as well as serving on the personnel committee.
Layne Bidlingmaier farms in Winslow, Illinois. The Bidlingmaier family has been passing down the farming business for generations. Layne shares his passion for farming with his wife, Erin, and two daughters, Gracie and Jenna. He is a previous dairy farmer, but now focuses on the growth of corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. The Bidlingmaier family has been a customer of Pearl City Elevator since the 1970's and will continue to partner with them for many years to come. Layne was a previous member of the Adkins Energy Board and is currently on the Buckeye Mutual Insurance Board. He enjoys spending time on the farm, hunting, and watching his daughters play sports.
